We are seeking an experienced Therapeutic Medical Physicist to join our radiation oncology team at a leading DoD medical facility. This position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art treatment technologies including IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, and SRS while serving military personnel and their families.
The successful candidate will be responsible for treatment planning, quality assurance, commissioning of new equipment, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
Our facility features advanced linear accelerators, CT simulators, and comprehensive treatment planning systems. This role provides excellent opportunities for professional development, research, and teaching.
Requirements
• Board certification by ABR or CCPM in Therapeutic Medical Physics
• Master's degree or PhD in Medical Physics, Physics, or related field
• 3+ years of clinical experience in radiation oncology
• Active state medical physicist license
• Proficiency in Eclipse, Pinnacle, or similar TPS
• Experience with IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, and SRS techniques
• Strong understanding of AAPM TG reports and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
• U.S. citizenship required
